Park Avenue Condo Acquired With Huge Profit After Neighbor Partners In Deal
I forgot to tell you about our condo. My husband and I are closing with our condo this week. It's a 1067 sqft prewar condo, two blocks away from the affluent Park Avenue. The purchase price is $750,000 and appraised (by a conservative appraiser) as $900,000. As soon as we close, we will sell it with our next door neighbor. His condo is 1626 sqft in the market for 1.8 mil (He's out of mind). Together, we would ask 3.2 million for our combined condo. We would probably sell 2.9 to 3 mil, we would go as low as 2.7 mil. Now, within the combined sqft-age we are entitled to 39% and them to 61%, and therefore split the price accordingly. We aim to sell on or above 2.8 mil. And if we do sell with 2.8, then we would give the neighbors more percentage, about 65%, to make it appealing to him. He would get his goal of selling 1.8+ and we get a nice chunk of change in our pockets. A whopping $980,000.

Wisconsin Couple Learns To Control Money, Not Let It Control Them
What we learned from this program? We learned that we needed a different attitude towards money. We need to stop using credit to get what we want and to have patients and wait awhile before we purchase the things we want. Stop letting money control us. We control money. Adjust our life style to the income we make. Look to the future. Set our priorities in order. Take a hard look at where we spend. Educate ourselves through reading and investigating other sources of knowledge on how to invest and get the most of our efforts. Don't let others control our money and don't try to keep up with the Jones's. As a whole, this program has opened our eyes up to different ways to use our money more wisely and conservatively. Our Debt Free date is June 2015.
